From Fire to Flavor: Unleashing the Fiery Magic of Homemade Horseradish!


Enjoy the homemade horseradish condiment with sandwiches, meats, or use it in traditional recipes like horseradish and beets.

Ingredients:

  • Horseradish root
  • Salt
  • Lemon juice
  • Sugar
  • Hot boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Clean and peel the horseradish root, removing any tough areas with a knife.
  2. Grate the peeled horseradish root using the spiky side of a grater.
  3. Transfer the grated horseradish to a larger bowl.
  4. Add half a cup of hot boiling water to the grated horseradish.
  5. Add half of the lemon juice to the bowl and mix well. Taste and adjust the amount of lemon juice according to your preference for sourness.
  6. Add the desired amount of sugar and a teaspoon of salt to the bowl and mix all the ingredients together.
  7. Transfer the prepared horseradish condiment to an airtight jar.
  8. Store the jar in the refrigerator for up to a month.
